It was really scary. Last year, I watched it on the news reporting about the fraud damages, in Korea. Korean people love to invest their money on stock market. They generally shares much useful information with close people. And there are so many groups for investing wisely communicating each other. But several groups use face fakes technology that fraud people. When people check the information about the group, the group provide fake face celebrity showing that the celebrities also invest their money in the group. Many people join that group, it turned out that it is fraud, many people are scammed. The amount of damages was huge.

Since 2020, deepfakes have been gaining popularity and have been consistently reported in the news. This new technology has been abused for unethical and illegal purposes, particularly in relation to financial markets. Scamming groups that manage people’s investments have used deepfakes to falsely portray celebrities endorsing their services, leading unsuspecting individuals to invest with them. This has resulted in significant financial losses for many people.
